The event was well attended and has raised in excess of £3,000 for this worthy cause.

Interesting Venues for 2008 .....

We are delighted to be covering weddings at some great venues in 2008, including:

 - St Bartholomew´s Church, Foston, Leicestershire: This 10th Century Church is a Grade 2 listed building situated in the village of Foston - which has been deserted for nearly 400 years.

 - Caverswall Castle, Staffordshire: This 13th Century castle was re-built in 1625 in the Jacobean style - as it is now - although it still retains its Norman tower.

 - Christ Church, Burntwood Staffordshire: The Church is built on land given by Sir Robert Peel (former Prime Minister). Next to the church is the UK´s smallest park - created in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra of Denmark.

- The Lord Leycester Hospital, Warwick: The "hospital" is a group of timber framed buildings dating back from mainly the 14th Century and was the home of Warwick´s medieaval Guilds for almost 200 years. Since the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1 up to the present day, it has been a home for retired service men and their wives - now run by an independent charity.
